Roy Freeman is coauthor of "A Continent Revealed" a book for undergraduate and graduate students of the geosciences about the uppermost 100 km of the Earth in a swathe across Europe from the Arctic Circle to the Sahara. Roy studied quantum physics and chemistry before moving to geophysics (paleomagnetism, plate tectonics) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. HE lectured and researched specializing in mathematical modeling of non-linear processes. He presently leads excursions for all interested in natural process in the Swiss Alps.
